FAQ
To convert your current system to solar completely can be very expensive and depending on your specific situation, will not always be cost effective. The storing of energy for the hours when the sun is not shining is the main challenge. A modular approach starting with solar water heating and a small inverter/ battery system to overcome load shedding is a much more reasonable approach.
In most cases, no. South Africa’s grid is not designed to act as a storage system for excess solar energy unless you have specific municipal approval and a grid-tied setup in place.
For most homes and businesses, a battery system is the most reliable way to store your solar energy and ensure you have power when you need it, especially during loadshedding.
SolemSolar systems are designed around your specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Modern solar panels are built to withstand harsh weather conditions, including hail. They are tested to international standards and designed with durable, tempered glass.
While extreme weather can always pose a risk, hail damage is very rare, and properly installed systems are made to handle typical South African conditions with ease.
